在国家外专局、苏州市外专局，及苏州出入境的大力支持下，首届TEFL苏州课程完美收官。此次培训8月22日开班，为期一周，24名来自世界各地的学员经过一周的集中强化培训，系统学习了英语教学法、中西文化差异、法律法规等知识，为走上讲台成为一名优秀的老师做好了准备。此次伦华教育举办TEFL in China Suzhou课程吸引了广泛的社会关注，国家外专局对伦华教育的宣传表示了高度的赞赏。培训期间，伦华教育特别邀请苏州高新区出入境的陆警官给学员们讲解外国人来华需要遵守的法律法规，讲解了签证及相关证件办理的手续。在Q&A环节，学员们踊跃发言，就自身情况提出了很多相关问题。陆警官一一给出专业的解答。
现场教学日中，来自美国的Liz在模拟课堂上深受学生的好评。课后，我们简短地采访了一下她。Liz说，这次的TEFL培训让她结识到了很多志同道合的老师，共同分享教学经验。她从主讲老师及同学们的经验中学到如何用课堂游戏来结合上课内容，以达到寓教于乐的效果。A: I’m impressed by your teaching today, is this your first time to teach?B: No, it’s not. It’s actually my third time in China. In the past, I was volunteering.A: What do you think of the kids?B: They were great. They participating very quickly, they spoke very well.A: What do you think the TEFL training will make you a better teacher in China?B: I think the TEFL training helps me to connect with other teachers who can give me advice, have different experience that can added to mine.A: Is there any methodology you learned you used in today’s class?B: There’s more different kind of lesson planning I think that is very helpful focusing on different kinds of warm-ups how to connect those specifically to the lesson. I’ve never really use warm-ups as connected to my lesson before, so much there just get the kids thinking.
